From Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, it takes around 50 minutes to reach the free Veillon parking lot.
But first and foremost, as the saying goes, preparation is as good as action.

- A cap, bob or beret (it doesn’t matter what style, as long as you’re comfortable)
- full swimmer’s outfit

Finally, there’s a 6-kilometre loop through dunes, forest and the Marais du Veillon.

Duration of hike: 1H45 (Departure from parking lot)
Distance: 6 km
Difficulty: This hike is accessible to all and presents no difficulties (except for baby carriages, unplayable in the sand).

Good to know: After passing through a forest of pines and holm oaks, you’ll come across some pretty little oyster huts. Here you can take a break and enjoy oysters and seafood.

If you choose the “restaurant” option, this address offers a perfect compromise (good value for money) and a sublime view of the Veillon site.
