Discover the Pont d’Yeu, a natural wonder…
For this new and unusual experience, we’re once again putting Mother Nature in the spotlight.
To ensure that the day runs smoothly, you’ll need to keep an eye on the tide times.
In fact, it’s essential for the magic to happen.
The tide MUST be low. This is the sine qua non condition.
Bonus: if you’re lucky enough to be in the area and a huge tidal range is forecast, this beach will reveal all its secrets…
Let’s head for the Pont d’Yeu beach, located between Saint Jean de Monts and Notre Dame de Monts !
This “coup de cœur” beach is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the area.
If we invite you to discover it at low tide, it’s because it reveals a tongue of land that makes it so unique.
This original spot, set against the dune, is ideal for swimming and fishing.
Here are some useful tips for discovering this site:
Access to the beach is from the free parking lot and is well worth the effort. You’ll have to cross the dune using the wooden staircase provided.
From up here, catch your breath and enjoy the show. A breathtaking view of Yeu Island and Noirmoutier awaits you.
Good to know:
If you like walking, you can take a 5km loop from the beach. You’ll skirt the beach before crossing some of the Pays de Monts’ most characteristic features, the state forest and the vast marshland.
The circuit is well signposted. Signs with reeds show the way.
Warning: you won’t find much shade on the course. Avoid these trails on hot days.
No matter what activity you choose to indulge in, this site lends itself to idleness and wonder.
So take the opportunity to recharge your batteries!
PICNIC BREAK IN THE SHADE OF THE HOLM OAKS…

Treat yourself to a siesta in the shade of the trees, it’s so pleasant and regenerating.
VISIT TO THE DAVIAUD MUSEUM IN LA BARRE DE MONTS…

It takes just ten minutes to reach your destination: the Musée du Daviaud.

After visiting the museum, enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The museum is surrounded by marshland, and we invite you to discover the local flora and fauna during a short stroll. The beauty of the landscape and the ambient calm are more than enough to make this a magical meeting.
And if you’re an avid birdwatcher, you’ll be in heaven…
Along the way, you’ll find observatories from which you can spot a variety of bird species.
End your day relaxing in one of the museum’s outdoor areas or enjoying a refreshing drink in a nearby café.
Then it’s time to hit the road again and head back to Happi Village.
Just enough time to grill a few sausages, get your strength back, and you’ll be ready to meet up with your hosts and join in the camping festivities.
